Parental consent
Applications for children usually require consent from everyone with parental responsibility, unless an exception applies.
Provide consent correctly
All required people should complete and sign the relevant consent sections. Supporting documents may be requested where circumstances are unusual.
If consent is not available
Contact the Australian Passport Office for guidance if a person cannot provide consent or if a court order affects the application.
